AMC Theaters is planning a non-fungible token campaign (NFT) to celebrate the opening day of Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: No Way Home in US cinemas.

The company is offering a limited number (up to 86000 NFT) Spider-Man to members of AMC Stubs Premiere & A-List and AMC Investor Connect. Those who purchase an advance ticket to watch the latest Spider-Man movie on December 16 will be eligible for the giveaway.

According to an announcement on Sunday, the collaboration between Sony Pictures and AMC Entertainment is the first of its kind.

Over 100 NFT designs created by Cub Studios, a BAFTA award-winning animation studio, will be available. The tokens will be repurchased on the WAX platform, a carbon-neutral blockchain driven by Evidence of Consensus Effort.

This highly anticipated film is the third in the Spider-Man: Hero series and the sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home, which has raised $1.13 billion worldwide.

Damien Hirst joke
Renowned British NFT artist Damien Hirst sent 10,000 NFTs to those who had previously purchased artwork from his coin collection.

This is a gift from NFT’s new Great Expectations collection, a series of 10,000 images based on the Certified Boy Lover.

The group is based on the cover of “Certified Lover Boy”, Canadian rapper Drake’s sixth album. Hurst commented on Friday:

“I have attempted to create an image that captures the hopeful love, humor, and bold truth in Drake’s music for his album cover, and now I hope that through this free gift you can all share and feel the excitement I have in NFTS and the digital world.”
3D NFT on ICP
Internet Computer Network (ICP) Dfinity has launched NFT Studio, a 3D and interactive NFT platform that allows authors to design, create and host traditional and interactive 3D NFTs.

The platform includes a 3D voxel engine and a pixel engine that allow users to create 3D models that can be converted to NFT and used in video games.

3D creators are often limited to networks like Ethereum or Solana that cannot handle large files, said Lucas Merville, founder and team leader of NFT Studio, before adding: “3D NFT seemed like a fantasy — a far cry from current technology. But we made it Possible online thanks to the Internet computer.”

There are a number of NFT groups already working on ICP such as ICPunks, ICPuppies, and ICKitties.

Other good news
A rare piece of digital land was sold at Axie Infinity on Thursday for 550 ETH, or about $2.5 million. There are only 220 Genesis stories, making it among the rarest in the game.

Axie is not the only notable virtual land sale, because some parties have raised a lot of money recently. According to Cointelegraph, the Decentralands Metaverse Group has purchased 116 plots of land with a major metaverse location for 618,000 MANA tokens worth approximately $2.5 million.
