MoonPay to make Web3 payments with Unstoppable Domains partnership


Unstoppable Domains has partnered with crypto payment firm MoonPay to integrate non-perishable token (NFT) domains into transactions within the platform. Through collaboration, MoonPay users can send and receive digital assets using their own domain names, eliminating the need to enter long and complex wallet addresses.

In an announcement sent to Cointelegraph, Evan Soto-Wright, co-founder and CEO of MoonPay, said the partnership will make it easier for people to enter the world of Web3.

According to Soto-Wright, while MoonPay handles the front end, Unstoppable Domains improves the end of the user journey by removing complex characters and replacing them with customizable NFTs.

Sandy Carter, CEO of Unstoppable Domains, also commented on the partnership saying it would make Web3 more accessible. Carter believes that both seasoned and novice crypto users will benefit from the simplified experience that will come as a result of the collaboration.

Apart from payment transactions, NFT domains can also be used as a means of logging in to decentralized applications (DApps), wallets and exchanges. It also allows users to choose what data they will allow access to through websites and apps.

Meanwhile, the demand for NFT domains continues to rise. Earlier in July, registrations for the Ethereum name service surged 200%. The surge in registrations was driven by hype amid the second largest .eth domain sale when “000.eth” was sold for 300 ether (ETH), valued at around $300,000 at the time of purchase.

Recently, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin responded to critics who questioned the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus amid the upcoming integration of the smart contract platform. According to Buterin, who provided a refutation of the topic of the PoS vote, many of the arguments coming from critics are based on undiluted lies.
