In an interview with Cointelegraph, Hedera Hashgraph CTO Lemon Baird said that while interest in blockchain has skyrocketed in 2020, he expects much more in 2021.
Byrd, who has a PhD in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University, explains: “The world at large looks at this industry as blockchain or DLT and says,“ Wow, there’s something real out there. ”“ This year I saw it. the rapid growth of interest all over the world. And I think we will see even more growth next year, ”he said.
Byrd explained his optimistic outlook on 2021: “I’m not like the people of many previous years and said, ‘Well, this year it was not much, but I bet next year will be better.”
“I think we are already seeing the beginning of this year, people are really thinking about it, and for a long time they have been thinking about it aside. But now people are really starting to get into it, as I said, and people are starting to invest in it. I mean big companies. And in large companies, people are actually starting to use it in their companies. ”
Byrd believes that the industry is currently “on its knees” due to an exponential curve, but our ideas are not visible due to almost complete expansion.
Hashgraph recently announced a partnership with the Chopra Foundation to develop a mental health platform that they hope will expand to 1 billion users.
