Eminem and Snoop Dogg turn into BAYC chars in new music video

Just a year and a half ago, it seemed like there were bad feelings between Snoop Dogg and Eminem, both of whom are Dr. Dre’s subjects. Now, the legendary rappers have a new music video where they appear as Bored Apes.

On June 24, Eminem tweeted that a new single called “From The D 2 The LBC” will be released. The post included song art, in comic book style with two cartoon monkeys representing Snoop Dogg and Slim Shady and their relationship with the Bored Ape Yacht Club. He quickly followed up with another tweet announcing the video.

The new music video features Eminem and Snoop Dogg as two animated monkey characters. It was produced by First Amendment and Young California, in association with BAYC.

The song has the two of them screaming in their hometowns, Detroit and Long Beach, in a crunch:

“Put your dobbs high if you’re at 213, let’s see them go up / Whether you’re on the east side or west side of 313, let’s see them blazing with guns.”
Em and Snoop perform their lines while transforming into animated avatars similar to the bored monkey. The song was recently previewed live at Ape Fest 2022 by the couple.

It should be noted that Eminem and Snoop are already familiar with the world of Non-Foldable Tokens (NFTs), having previously ventured into space. As Cointelegraph reported, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, bought NFT from the OpenSea Marketplace for $462,000 and became a member of the Bored Ape Yacht Club.

In April, Snoop Dogg was announced as a major investor in MoonPay, an on and off road service, along with “industry VIPs” such as Justin Bieber, Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher. MoonPay has also teamed up with Dogg’s Death Row Records to create the NFT Marketplace.
