Cardano’s ADA recently overtook Litecoin (LTC) in market cap. It can now pass Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV), depending on how the settlement is calculated.

How many ADA are there?
At the time of writing, CoinMarketCap or CMC is showing ADA at seventh and Nomics at sixth – just ahead of BSV. Controversy stems from the rolling suggestion – CMC reports 25,927,070,538, while Nomics reports 31,112,484,646. This represents 5 billion of the ADA contradiction. Blockchair, the blockchain search and analytics engine, agrees with Nomics.

The difference is, noted Nick Gauthier, CTO at Nomics, that his company includes ADA awarded by Cardano Foundation, IOHK and Emurgo in turnover, while CMC appears not to. According to a cached version of the Cardano Foundation website, the three divisions received 648.176.761, 2463.071.701, and 2.074.164.644 of ADA codes respectively. These numbers add up to 5,185,414,106 – which is exactly the difference between the amounts reported by different data providers. Based on the current ADA rate, these tokens are valued at approximately $ 590 million.

Are company tokens calculated?
The question still remains of whether these tokens should be included in the rulebook. Perhaps this should be based on locking mechanisms, if any, codes left by these organizations. It is assumed that some symbols were used and thus became part of the rollout. The updated version of the site does not contain information about token distribution.

Cointelegraph contacted IOHK for clarification but did not receive a response in time for publication.

We have a bull running ADA
Regardless of the issue of the stocks traded, the ADA has shown noticeable bullish gains since Black Thursday. March 11. At the time, the price for the ADA was $ 0.024; At the time of writing, this is $ 0.114. The difference represents a premium of 475%. This is still well below a record high of $ 1.16 in January 2018.

IOHK, Cardano’s development company, made a number of milestones and public announcements during this time. The biggest news was the launch of the Shelley Network. Around the same time, the Atala PRISM decentralized identity solution was introduced. There was also news of ADA holders who could bet their coins while on guard at Coinbase, and speculation about their potential listing on the exchange by the end of 2020.

This momentum also comes on the heels of Cardano’s virtual summit. According to Charles Hoskison, it was more than unanimous, it welcomed more than 10,000 guests.
